Today I finally realised I relate to a great Biblical woman. No, I’m not barren, but I’m broken by impatience, which has led me to loneliness. But the story of Hannah, documented in 1 Samuel, has made me realise God will answer my prayer, one I’ve been praying for a long time. I don’t need to be afraid. It hurts now, it hurts so bitterly and the wound keeps being torn back open, but He’s healing me.
